Conflict Minerals Policy

Kinik Company / Hongia Industry Company (hereinafter referred as Kinik) supports the joint efforts of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) with practical actions. The responsible minerals initiative (RMI) does not support or use minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas, including armed conflicts, illegal mining, child labor and other human rights issues and poor working conditions.

According to this policy, Kinik will :
  1. Carry out supply chain due diligence in accordance with OECD's "Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development's Guidance on Responsible Supply Chain Due Diligence for Ore from Shock Wave Impacted and HighRisk Areas".
  2. If the product material contains minerals such as tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), tungsten (W), gold (Au), cobalt (Co) and mica (Mica), due diligence on conflict minerals should be performed and the source of the used minerals should be fully disclosed.
  3. We require suppliers to cooperate in filling out the conflict minerals investigation template (please go to the RMI website to download the latest version), and provide relevant product evidence. Suppliers should communicate this policy to their upstream suppliers and supply chain, and require their upstream suppliers to jointly protect it.
