- The occupational safety and health management system established by KINIK is based on ISO 45001 which its scope covers all plant sites (with operational control), as well as employees and non-employee workers such as cleaning and security workers of the plant sites.
- According to the ESH risk and opportunity assessment results of each plant area, the annual environmental safety and health management goals and development directions are formulated, and various occupational safety and health management operations are planned through the Occupational Safety & Health Division.
- Occupational safety and health management operations such as internal audit, risk identification, education and training, and health promotion are promoted through the labor safety offices of all factories to continuously improve the company's occupational safety and health standards.
- Establish management mechanisms for hazard identification and risk assessment, occupational injury and business risk prevention, and abnormal event handling procedures, in order to reduce the incidence of occupational disasters and occupational diseases through early prevention and mitigation of risk impact, and strengthen the Company's occupational safety and health management system.
Sound communication mechanism
We listen to and respect the diverse voices of employees, emphasize labor-management harmony and respect the employees' rights of free association. In order to maintain smooth two-way communication and exchange, we have established a variety of communication channels so that company information can be conveyed to employees in a timely and accurate manner. The voices of employees can be heard and responded to. At the same time, in order to clearly define the rights and obligations of both parties, improve the modern management system, and encourage both parties to work together for business development, the Company has established the "Work Rules" in accordance with the "Labor Standards Act" and related laws and regulations to regulate labor and management. Both parties shall devote themselves to the establishment of corporate ethics and professional ethics, and fulfill their rights and obligations in order to maintain a good labor-management relationship.
The Company convenes an Occupational Safety and Health Committee meeting quarterly to review occupational safety and health issues in the operation process, and select labor representatives to participate in the meeting according to laws, so that all employees can understand the Company's occupational safety and health operation mode, and provide employees with sufficient response to problems and suggestions. A communication channel dedicated to reaching a consensus on safety and health issues between employees and employers is provided. In addition, the Company also actively promotes the proposed improvement mechanism to explore potential risks and opportunities for improvement through the joint participation of all employees. With a robust communication model, there were no fines by the competent authority due to labor disputes or violations of freedom of association that undermined the rights of employees, nor were there occupational safety and health-related disputes occurred in 2022.
Labor Opinion Box and Complaint Channel
In addition to daily internal announcements, electronic bulletin boards, employee activities, face-to-face communication with unit managers, and departmental meetings, if employees have any opinions on the Company's system or management methods, all employees may submit complaints or express opinions through the "Opinion Box", "Proposal for Improvement" and "Employee Complaint Box" on the Company's website. A dedicated personnel from the HR & General affairs Dept. will process the submission for investigation and replies. Employees can feel safe to raise complaints or express opinions through such channels.
Sexual Harassment and Workplace Illegal Assault Complaint Channel
In order to provide the Company's employees and job seekers with a work and service environment free of sexual harassment and illegal infringement in the workplace, appropriate preventive, corrective, disciplinary, and disciplinary measures are taken to protect the rights and privacy of the employees concerned. Labor-Management Meeting
The "Implementation Regulations for Labor-Management Meetings" has been established to coordinate labor-management relations, promote labor-management cooperation, and improve work efficiency. Each factory appoints management representatives and elects labor representatives in accordance with the relevant regulations. Labor-management meetings are held every year to coordinate labor relations and discuss labor conditions, benefits, and improvement of work efficiency. The "Resolution Assignment Form" which delivered by the chairman, is used as the basis for the implementation of various resolutions to implement the resolutions reached by the employer and the employee.
Employee satisfaction survey
In 2022, the Company began its first employee satisfaction survey through questionnaires. The survey results serve as an important reference for the Company to formulate/adjust its management policies and formulate various rules and regulations. In the future, the scope of satisfaction surveys will also be expanded to improve on the internal operating environment.
In order to strengthen the employee consultation and participation mechanism, we have established the "Communication and Consultation Management Method" to establish, implement and maintain a mode of communication with all appropriate workers or labor representatives, including consultation and participation in labor ethics, safety and health and processes for the development, planning, implementation, evaluation, and improvement actions of the environmental management system. The specific actions include:
