Applications: |
| CVD diamond insert is valid for machining workpieces made of nonferrous materials. It finds application in industrial fields like aviation, automobile components and so forth. |

| 2.
Characteristics: |
| Inserts are usually made of “tungsten carbide (WC)” or “polycrystalline diamond (PCD)”. Compared to these conventional materials, CVD diamond film has better physical properties (see attached table). Kinik Company has dedicated to the development of CVD technology over a long period of time. CVD diamond blades with the listed outstanding properties have been successfully integrated into the insert structure. Moreover, during machining, both “surface roughness (Ra)” and “brightness (L)” of the workpiece remain in the satisfactory range. Enhanced machining quality and reduced corresponding cost are highly expected. |

| 4. Microstructure: |
| The manufacturing process of Kinik CVD diamond insert includes several steps like “polishing” and “honing”. SEM photograph (Fig. 1) shows the cutting edge of CVD diamond blade appears smooth and flat. |

| 5. Product appearance: |
| The soul of Kinik CVD diamond insert is one disposable blade (upper left triangle of Fig. 2). After usage, the worn blade could be removed and replaced by a new one. The whole structure is thus recyclable. |
